The Season of Producing

Reaping Your Harvest of Faithfulness: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." (Galatians 5:22-23, NIV). Dear Prudent Woman, If you've walked faithfully through every season we've discussed, prepared your heart, planted good seeds, submitted to pruning, and persisted through the waiting—then get ready. Your season of harvest is here, or it's coming soon, and it will be worth every tear, every sacrifice, every moment of faith. This is the season we've been longing for:  the season of producing fruit. What Does Harvest Look Like? When we think of harvest, we often imagine external blessings: the husband, the healed marriage, the breakthrough, the answered prayer. And yes, God delights in giving us good gifts.  But the deepest, most valuable harvest isn't what you gain; it's who you've become . The real fruit isn't just what happens to you; it's what happens...

The Season of Persistence

Holding On When You Want to Give Up: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." (Galatians 6:9, NIV). Dear Prudent Woman,  If you're in this season right now, I see you. This is the hardest season of all—not because of what's happening, but because of what's not happening. You've prepared your heart. You've planted good seeds. You've submitted to God's pruning. And now... you're waiting. And waiting. And still waiting. This is the season of persistence, and it will test everything you believe about God's faithfulness. But hear these words of life:  "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" (Galatians 6:9, NIV). Did you catch that? "If we do not give up." Your harvest is coming, but only if you persist. The Valley Between Sowing and Reaping There's always a gap between planting and harvesting. ...

The Season of Pruning

When God Cuts to Cultivate: Jesus spoke directly about this season: "He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit, He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful." (John 15:2, NIV) Dear Prudent Woman,  Let me be honest with you: this is the season most of us try to avoid. The season of pruning is uncomfortable, often painful, and rarely feels like a blessing in the moment. But it is one of the most loving things God does in our lives. Notice that God prunes both the unfruitful branches and the fruitful ones. If you're bearing fruit, you're not exempt from pruning—you're actually a prime candidate for it. Why? Because God loves you too much to let you settle for good when He has great plans for you. Why Does God Prune? A skilled gardener prunes for specific reasons, and our Master Gardener is no different: 1. To remove what's dead . Sometimes we're holding onto relationships, dreams, or habits that have alread...

The Season of Planting

Sowing Seeds of Righteousness: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked.  A man reaps what he sows."  (Galatians 6:7, NIV) Dear Prudent Woman,  Once your heart is prepared, once the ground of your life has been broken up and made ready, it's time for one of the most powerful seasons: the season of planting. Every day, whether you realize it or not, you are planting seeds. The question isn't whether you're sowing—it's what you're sowing. God's Word is clear:  "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows" (Galatians 6:7, NIV). This isn't a threat—it's a promise and a principle. The life you're living today is the harvest of seeds you planted yesterday. The life you'll live tomorrow is being determined by the seeds you're planting right now. Understanding the Power of Seeds A seed is small, seemingly insignificant, but it carries within it the DNA of a future harvest. One apple seed can become a tree...

The Season of Preparation

Breaking Up Your Fallow Ground: God speaks to us through the prophet Jeremiah:   "Break up your unplowed ground and do not sow among thorns."  (Jeremiah 4:3, NIV). Dear Prudent Woman, Before you can become the woman God has called you to be, before you can walk into the fullness of His promises for your life, there's a crucial first step that many overlook: preparation. Think about a farmer preparing to plant a garden. Would he scatter precious seeds on hard, rocky ground filled with weeds and thorns? Of course not. He knows that no matter how good the seed, it cannot thrive in unprepared soil. The same is true for your life. What Does It Mean to Prepare?  Preparation is the season where you invite the Holy Spirit to do deep work in your heart. It's where you allow God to soften the hardened places, uproot the weeds of bitterness and unforgiveness, and clear away the clutter of past wounds and worldly mindsets that have taken root. This season asks you to be honest wi...
