The Heart of Worship: A Willing Heart
W.O.R.S.H.I.P — 1. Willing Heart:
"I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will tell of all Your marvelous works."
(Psalm 9:1)
Dear Prudent Woman,
Over the next few days, we'll explore worship through the W.O.R.S.H.I.P acronym, a 7-Part Journey.
This will transform how you connect with God in your daily life. Whether you are married or single, worship is the foundation of intimacy with our Heavenly Father.
Today, we begin where all genuine worship must start: with a willing heart.
Have you ever noticed how easy it is to approach God with a shopping list, but how challenging it can be to come with an open, surrendered heart? We rush into His presence with our needs, our complaints, our agendas, but worship invites us to pause and ask: "Lord, what do YOU want from this moment?"

The First Principle of Worship: A Willing Heart
- "Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening" (1 Samuel 3:9)
- "Here I am, send me" (Isaiah 6:8)
- "Not my will, but Yours be done" (Luke 22:42)
Our willingness to let God work in us first transforms everything: our perspective, relationships, our peace, and purpose.
Whether you are believing God for marriage, working on your current relationship, navigating challenges, or simply seeking His face—come with willingness.
Whether you are believing God for marriage, working on your current relationship, navigating challenges, or simply seeking His face—come with willingness.
- Willingness to be shaped.
- Willingness to trust His timing.
- Willingness to surrender your plans for His purpose.
- Am I coming to God with demands or with a spirit of surrender?
- What parts of my heart am I still withholding from Him?
- How can I demonstrate a willing heart in worship today?
Each morning this week, before you pray about anything else, spend 5 minutes simply telling God, "I am willing. My heart is open to You. Have your way with me." Don't ask for anything. Don't present any needs. Just offer Him your willingness.
Pray with me:
"Father, I come before You today with a willing heart. I lay down my resistance, my fears, my need to control. I open every chamber of my heart to You. Search me, know me, and lead me. I am willing to be transformed by Your presence. In Jesus' name, Amen."
See you next Worship Wednesday!
